Answer summons, pro se or hire attorney

Do you think it makes a difference if the same answer is submitted whether it's done by one's self or from an attorney?

our case is not filed yet, but we were served in person, formal summons no number and not appearing on county courts, WA state

my guess is they are waiting until they get an answer back.

I have seen the same answer from private party, gets judgement request granted, same day as filing case.

but if filed with attorney gets put off and buys about 3 months, how much do you think it would cost for an attorney. BK attny said they will probably get judgement and it will just buy us an add'l week. Another attny I spoke with said AVOID the judgement being on credit at all. Meeting with tomorrow, if we are filing in a matter of time why try to settle with cc attorney. I just don't want wages garnished

I asked about denying in a different thread and didn't get much response. yeah I know we owe, so did others that denied and claimed affirmative defense, only eding up filing bk anyway

    thanks!
