How long can they claim they don't know?

I got a call today from a ca for Chevron.
We filed 6/10/2009. The guy was very rude. After he ran through his
spiel, I asked him was he aware he was violating the automatic stay.
He yells at me, Don't start that with me. I don't want to hear it!
This is the second CA that has told me that, almost verbatim, when I informed them that we filed.
I yell back, "Don't you yell at me!"
I end up giving him the case number and my lawyer's number and he continues to be loud rude and aggressive.

What is up with this? What can happen to them if they violate the stay?
    Apparently nothing that scares them.
Anyone with any experience with this?

Ask him/them for their name or employment number, state that you by habit record all phone messages and you will save this for the Trustee. You DO have a right to record anybody without their knowledge. You just don't have a right to use it, unless you inform them.

I once was accused and was going to be sued in that in my house I have a camera and microphone and recorded a bad situation. I used it against that person and they stated I did not tell them. When I showed the sign upon my door's window that states these premises are monitored by surveillance devices, the worm turned. 'Hub

They do this stuff all the time because they can and do get away with.

Probably the best route is to get the person's name and phone number when the conversation begins. If they refuse, tell them you do not talk to stranger nor are dumb enough to talk about confidential matters to strangers.

        Next get the monkey's address.
