Well the finally got to me. Before I stopped making payments to the CC's I went to each Website, checked my personal information, and updated my phone # to the new VOP # for the OOma system I purchased. I have been getting plenty of calls to that # but the system allows me to send them direct to voice mail without the phone ringing.

Only 1 creditor had my cell # and i was getting calls but ignoring them. all of a sudden 4 more now have it and started calling. almost like one found it and told the others. one even called my 17 year old daughters cell (citi) and she has only had that # about a month.

any ideas how the get your cell #. I thought about changing it but i have had this # for quite some time.

I have heard they do a lot of skip-tracing using a database provided by Lexis-Nexis. Wildly inaccurate but they've got plenty of people in India who work cheap to call the numbers.

Sucks! You must be 'listed' on one of those reference/cross reference lists somewhere on the internet. They haven't found my cell numbers yet...but I'm waiting for the day that one of my neighbors will knock on my door to give me an "important message"...
