new car loan before filing chapter 7

    hey guys,
I had a 03 mustang gt with quite afew mechanical problems that i traded in to chrysler dodge about a week ago and then got a loan for a used charger from them. The trade-in was $5000 towards vehicle and monthly payment is 245 for 6 years. My question is:when i file in about a month, one of the creditors (credit cards)i am filing against happens to end up being the car loaner. While i dont pay my credit card bills during next month can they come after car(i will be paying for that,of course)?

Did you get the car loan and credit card from a credit union or a bank?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Kenyo, a 2003 car against a used different car? Was your 2003 paid for? Did you lower your payment? Six years? There are many good used cars out there for a couple of grand. We purchased a 93 Grand Am with 95K for $800, four years ago without any repair except tune up and tires. It is paid for so except for gas and insurance, it is free. You are in 7 now and still wish to make installment payments? Well that is your right. But it is only my opinion that you may have only half healed. I wish you the best. ‘Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

irprn-i got the loan from a regular bank, not a credit union(mostly because of what i read on here)thanx for your reply

Angelina-its a 2003 paid off car that needs a clutch, intake manifold, oil appearing on spark plugs and throwing codes in my computer, suspension problems...and that is what i know.
        new car-245 a month(reasonable)
        brand spanking new car-$350-400(unreasonable)
my old car, even if i had the cash or credit, which i dont, would then be worth more at BK time and possibly grabbed. So why put money into it
new car-has a new loan on it which,I THINK,means they cant grab it and has a powertrain coverage for 2 years.
Your grand am,which the price was right, has 95k on it which means it could die tommorow and you would have to come up with another grand for another car.So i am not quite sure how your healing ways are better
