Im not the only one who gets into with him BTW, its not me.
That's why I added, "And this same warning goes for any other members who decide that winning an disagreement at any costs by defaming the other member, calling them names, calling them crazy, etc. is ok - it's not."

It wouldn't be the first time a forum member or two has had a week's timeout and eventually a permanent ban for inappropriate community behavior that knowingly breaks the forum rules that we all agree to when we join here, and it won't be the last.

Im in CO too and with my HOA they tried to serve me interoggatories and I never answered my door. Well they just left the papers shoved into the door. I didnt even (at the time) realize what they were or how important it was but anyway it was exactly one yr later I had a scheduled court date to explain to the judge why I failed to answer. I was surprised it took that long but I just thought I would tell you bout my situation. =)

OMG - I just have to tell you guys, I was worried over nothing. So called summons...scare tactic, no docket number/court date left on my doorstep by collection agency!! The creditor is for only like $500 (definitely something you would not think they would waste on court fees and stuff) and not for the assoc fees that I originally thought it was for. I am kind of pissed though. I have heard about collection agencies doing this...giving fake summons. Do they really think I am going to fill out their stupid "answer" and send it back. I am wondering how they can do this? This can't be legal. Should I file a complaint against this collection agency? Has anyone had this happen to them with collection agencies? Geeeeeze.

            What State are you in?

Even if your State doesn't allow this type of service, filing a complaint about it doesn't do much in most cases.

I'm in Colorado, but the point is this is a fake summons (I had a feeling it was) and when I saw no docket # or court seal on it, I knew it was definitely fake. I checked over the weekend to see if something had been filed and then earlier today I actually called the courts to double check in case it was just not updated in their system yet and sure enough, nothing has been filed. So, when I get home tonight and see this on my doorstep...I knew immediately it was a fake. I just don't see how giving fake summons is legal.

Capital One did somewhat of that to me. My CC ended up going to a trial over a $500 balance so that doesnt surprise me someone would take it that far. The only reason I didnt worry too much was b/c I had no income at the time as I was on maternity leave and knew I would be filing during my leave. But yeah that is crazy they gave you a fake summons.
