If I tell them that I'm currently unemployed (which I am), how do they know that I'm telling the truth? Also, I am listed with DH on our mortgage, which is really our only asset, and we do have some equity. Do they take into consideration how much it would cost to sell the house and how much they would make off of it after commissions were taken out? Is this even how a lien works?
