Hooray for all of us that live in the IE!!!!

Insane amount of foreclosures, high unemployment rate. Makes you want to move here - NOT!

I went to a foreclosure auction last week, just to see what houses were going for. Houses sold from $46k. It was sick! The highest price house sold for $200k in Oak Hills. That house sold for $600k 2 years ago.
            Chapter 7 filed 10/21/2008
            341 - 11/26 went smooth NO ASSET
Took 115 days after 341 - But Finally DISCHARGED 3/25/09

Where in the world is Inland Empire?

I've never been east of New Mexico.
              The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.

yep. i got a small one, 3100 sq ft 1 story. was appraised at $900K in 2007 when I re-did my 2nd. it was a good appraisal because one had sold a few months before that for over $1m. 4 weeks ago a 2 story 4100 sq ft forclosure 2 doors down sold for $525K. i'm really hoping for a lein strip if i can wait long enough.

I'm one of the lucky ones in the IE. I bought in 2002 so my home is only $100K less than I paid in 2002. Also, I have to drive an hour+ each way just to get to an area that has jobs but at least I have a job when so many here do not.

My cousin bought a house last July for $300K just down the street from me. It sold in November 2007 for $850K. Ouch!
