I know, I was under the impression that small claims court only allows cases below $2500, so I dont get it, I am gonna call them and try to clarify what the deal is.

Your in Los Angeles County according to Wikipedia.org, and the direct link is

Although, to even search through it they charge you $4.75 per search to reimburse the court.

lol, none of us do, including the government, oops too late, they just made another one, about a trillion dollars after interest applied. Better hope it works, or we will all be speaking Chinese soon.

In NJ you can see if you're on the docket in Superior (county) court here.

In Oregon small claims go to $7500. Once a judgment is entered, it can take only a few days to have a writ served on your employer. This can be accomplished by the attorney filing the writ. No lag time here, and I have the experience to prove it. Here, it may be 10 - 14 days after the writ has been served on your employer before you even receive a copy in the mail. If you are paid once per month, then chances are you will have a head's up. If you are paid once every two weeks, then you may not know until your paycheck comes up short.

What's a trillion here or a trillion there between good friends?
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
