    Fun with collections

When a collector asks you if you have any other phone numbers they can reach you at, here are a few good ones:
505 797 6333 Citibank collections (one of many)
    859 283 8072 ditto
    816 420 4003 ditto
210 586 0006 Chase collections (one of many)
    407 771 0978 ditto
    718 374 8092 Advanta collections
    919 872 2436 ditto

I'd like to add the monkey house at the zoo and any working business number in Iraq but that might be cruel...to the monkeys and the Iraqis.
You could also put these in your contact numbers if you still have web access to your accounts, not that I'm advocating this.

Yeah I was going to try call forwarding but this takes out the middleman. I'm wondering if I put in a credit app can I get these numbers onto my credit bureau files. Another old favorite is this gay porno theater in Chicago called the Bijou that Howard Stern used to call (312) 943-5397

You are correct. Actually I'm thinking up excuses trying to avoid being sent on a business trip to China. I have parkinson's ... life's a *****.

In the olden days I used to know a list of phone numbers that would play all of the standard phone company messages.

The best one worked with local callers by forwarding your phone to the message that said "We're sorry, your call could not be completed as dialed. You must first dial a one before dialing this number. Please hang up and try your call again." The the poor caller would hang up and call again by adding the "1" at the beginning and they'd get the (other) real message that said "We're sorry, your call could not be completed as dialed. It is not necessary to dial a one before dialing this number. Please hang up and try your call again."

The other fun one was the message that said "Due to heavy call volume your call could not be completed."

I wish I knew those numbers still.
Discharged November 2008 100 days after filing no-asset Chapter 7. We intended to let a two-year-old vehicle go back to the bank and reaffirm an inexpensive ten-year-old SUV and our home mortgage. In the end we surrendered ALL of our vehicles and reaffirmed NOTHING. We'll "ride through" our mortgage after the court ruled it an undue hardship.

All this bunny ranch talk makes me think of the guy in Reno 911 who, the Reno 911 Miami movie has a t-shirt that says "I support single moms" with a picture of one of them swinging around a pole.

Now that I've actually filed, I find that I miss all the collectors calling me. I soooooo need to get a life.

It's like losing an old friend you could rely on to call you at 8:02 am everyday.

Try 1-800-204-2418. That is one of Florida's Unemployment Compensation numbers. It has that 'heavy call volume' message once you get far enough into it.

I have been reading on here and found a reference to youmail.com. I love it ! and its free. It was in an old thread from 2006.

I only have cellphone, no home phone, and have been getting calls for the last few weeks. I am in the process of interviewing attorneys with a view to filing in the next few months.

you can set up a free account, and then program different answering messages for different numbers. the ones that I know are calling about bills I have set a message that tells them that the number is no longer in service.
