This is the best one yet

    Finally filing on Monday.

Just got out of the hospital yesterday due to Dr's thinking I had a heart attack. Turns out it was hypertention, my blood pressure reached 200.

Today I get a call from Chase. I tell the guy that I was filing BK in less than one week.

He says they can get a judgement before then.

I tell him he is incorrect and that it would be discharged anyway.

He says I am wrong. I said OK you win but I just got out of the hospital for hypertention and stress and I have no money.

He asks me what are you stressed about and cant I borrow the money. I told him that this is I am filing, I OWE TOO MUCH.

At that point my wife who is really worried about took over and shut him up.

Boy, I really needed my Xanax and Diavan after that call.

    What an idiot.
Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

No hospital for me yet. But I just started blood pressure meds yesterday. My BP has increased a lot in the last 6 months, I feel due to all the stress. I do have family history of problems, both my dad & brother had strokes and/or heart attacks by their late 40's. (I'm 44 now)

Doctor states it is probably hereditary(?). Last week I was at 205/105 on the worst day. (I check it daily)

I'm glad you are OK.... I'd suggest to ignore the calls, just don't answer, or get a machine to screen. Just prior to our filing, since I wasn't answering the phone we had over 100 calls a day. I'm sure due to the auto-dialers.

If you do answer... just be abrupt (Don't really need to be rude.) Tell them you have no money, you are filing BK soon, thanks for the call... but there is no reason to continue the discussion, and hang up. That put most off at least a couple days before thay start calling again.

    Just take it easy...

Even if you hang up on them, they just call back. I find it better just to not talk to them. As for hight blood pressure, I went some time ago to the emergencty room with high blood pressure of something like 360 over (I can't remember). Our hospitals are so bad in our city that even with a number that high, still didn't get admitted. The way I look at it, we are on our own so might as well make the best of it.

High Blood Pressure can be hereditary. My parents both had it, my sister has it and she said that a lot of family members on my dad's side have it too.

I managed to go probably 32 years without a problem; however when I realized I'd have to file, I started having heart trouble. Mine started with palpitations and got to the point where I couldn't sleep. I ended up in the ER with a BP reading of 230/150. I was admitted and stayed two days while I was given various meds to take care of the problem (note: HCTZ works really really well for getting rid of excess water weight. just gotta make sure you can make it to the toilet!)

My doctor has noticed my BP is decreasing as things finally calmed down, but she has said that mine is due to stress and a family history. I'm really hoping after my 341, it will get better to the point where I won't need the meds anymore.

Thank you. I also have the same family history and I notivced it going up during this whole process.

I am sincerely sorry if I hurt you with any comments. I cannot have children and 1 is adopted and the other through the miracle of science.

Try to have a wonderful holiday, we had a real scare here, and we are having that potluck christmas dinner after all.
