I read the debt collectors manual. On my first ever collection call that I received, I put my new knowledge into effect.
In the section that talks about the "psychological pause" in the manual, that is so true!!! The guy gave me the psychological pause. I said nothing and waited. And waited. He must have the exact same manual, because the call was almost a blue print of the manual. Eventually he said "hello?" which was really funny because he was all confident and pushy at first. Thanks so much whoever posted that. It made the call a whole lot easier.
