...How many months between the last day you paid your credit cards and the day you actually filed for BK?

I stopped paying Oct. 23rd and hope to file in March.

I stopped paying my credit cards and loans oct 2005. its been over two years. its so hard for me to pay the lawyers fees, and then the filing fees. I only owe filing fees now.

Well, Sears was one payment. They dropped my credit line and reported me (I'm sure) over a $30 minimum payment. USAA was about 2-3 months behind. My mortgages were maybe 3-4 months behind. The other credit cards were about to be late. Once he told me to stop paying I did. I had super low minimum payments, though I paid more than the minimum most of the time. I stopped paying my car after filing. They can have it.
