i been deliquent on cc approx 4 months and received a letter from collector other than original creditor. the letter read that they are representing the cc company and to send full amount owed to the credit card company. the question i have should i send a debt validation letter to have debt verified? or wait till sold to collectors. Also if i send a letter will this speed up process for lawsuit?

I'm doing the DV's hoping to slow legal action so I have less judgments to deal with when I file BK7.

Your letter should say you have 30 days for the DV. I send my request about 3 weeks into the 30 days. I also include a request for all communications to be done via US mail and to stop the phone calls. Also in my case I tell them I'm judgment execution proof and can prove it to the judge.

Of the 4 DV requests I've sent so far in the last 30 days I've got one response back telling me they're working on it and in the mean time if I want to pay up then call this number.
It's not what we have in our lives, but who we have in our lives and the quality of those relationships.

Did that letter talking about paying up happen within the 30 day DV period. If so, they may be in violation.
