    after much procrastination, finally filed

Well all, I did it! Went and filed today. I get to join the pool of nail biters and anxiety over what's to come. I have been so nervous about filing. Not so much because I am pro se but because I am afraid my case will get dismissed. I am a stay at home mom and what if the trustee says get your butt out there and get a job. I don't have much for secondary education, some community college so I wouldn't even make that much money. I have 3 children and daycare costs are amazing. Also it wasn't something huge that made us so far in debt. Nobody lost a job, we don't have huge medical bills, not too much has changed in our income. We just made poor choices with money. We didn't save money and spent on needless junk. I say junk cuz I can barely tell ya where $47,000 worth of personal loans and cc debt went to. So, well, here we are in life. I consider it the first day of the rest of our lives being debt free (hopefully if all goes well with the trustee).

Anyways, thanks again to all who have given advice, told their fears and their stories. I honestly can say that I don't think I would be as far as I am today without you all.

You already have a job, a very important job - you're a stay at home mom.

Miss Puff....I am not sure how old your children are but if you have preschool age and under they let you stay home....at least under Colorado law.

The trustees really don't look at the "why's" of bankruptcy. You do not provide them with some written statement of how this all happened (medical bills, job loss, divorce, etc); instead, it's mostly just by the numbers. Hang in there!

Congrats Miss Puff! I am sure everything will go just fine. I too stayed home with my kids until they were both in school and I don't regreat a minute of it. Your "story" sounds amazingly like ours and like you, we will be joining the ranks of files as of tomorrow!

thanks everyone. My children are ages 4, 6 & 9. And they do keep me VERY busy. I decided that until I hear anything from the trustee, that I am going to just relax about this whole thing. It's so stressful. I stressed so much before turning in the paperwork and now it's in their hands and I just need to chill out, tip one back and RELAX!!!! ohh, ohh, I'm gonna go put up a signature (I have been waiting to do that). Seems like alot are dog lovers here too so maybe I will put a piccy up of Remy our Shih Pooh or as my husband loves to call it-shit poop Anyways, again thanks all for your well wishes and Connie good luck with your filing. I am glad there are a few of us doing this all together at about the same time, cheers!

Allrighty, I went to add a siggy with my file date and it said something about not being any subscribed threads. I don't know what that means-help?

Three kinds under the age of 10! No wonder you don't work out of the home, that a full time job and a half!

Looks like you and I will be about neck and neck once my petition is filed tomorrow. I am waxing between being scared to death, relieved that it is finally being filed and absolute numbness. My lawyer keeps telling me to be calm, everything will work out okay. We took over two months to prepare everything and made sure we have everything accurate, but I still can't help feeling apprehensive.

Not that I am happy that someone else is in the same situation we are in, but it is nice to have someone there going through it all with me.

                  Keep us posted.

well, todays the day, the 341!!! I have all my required documents ready to go. It doesn't start till 1:30 so we have back up after school daycare scheduled just in case we are one of the last ones to be called. Everything seems in it's proper place. Now, if only I wasn't so nervous!
