Unable to log into auto loan account

I was trying to log into my auto loan account to change my checking account number for payments since I have a new (unfrozen) checking account now, and I couldn't log in. I contacted the phone number for the loan company and got an automated announcement that they were notified of my bankruptcy filing and have removed all automatic payment arrangements and access to my account, and made sure to tell me I can still make voluntary payments via the telephone or mail. Is this normal? Does this mean for the rest of my loan duration (assuming they let me keep the car which is my intent) I won't be able to log in and make payments online?

Nissan Motor did the same to me. So I just pay through my bill pay from my bank.. I reaffirmed my car loan and they said they will start sending my statements again, but my understanding is that if you contact them after discharge they will start sending you statements again , if you continue to make payments on the vehicle

We had the same issue. We called the bank and asked to speak to the bk department and authorized them to keep sending us statements. They never allowed us to pay online again but we just used our bill pay through our bank to make the payments.

They did this with my wife's car. We tried to reaffirm both vehicles but her lender screwed up the paperwork on their end so hers didn't get reaffirmed. Technically, we owed them nothing since the debt was discharged but we continued to make payments as I didn't want to chance a repossession. My wife could no longer make online payments and had to make them at a branch. I suppose she could have made phone payments but she wanted a paper trail as well.

The great thing is that she has just one more payment! Yay!
