Hi Everyone,
I'm really at a loss and and was wondering if any BK veterans would give my their opinions and input here.
My BK was discharged in Early January and I THOUGHT it would be pretty much smooth sailing until closure which could take a while due to some real estate I owned
I own(ed) a house and a piece of land with my Father's siblings and my sister that the Trustee was interested in and I have provided him with names and any addresses/phone numbers I have of those individuals all of which (with the exception of my sister) I have not spoken to in over NINE YEARS. These people do not move, they've lived in the same homes for 25+ years, so getting a hold of them shouldn't be a problem for him.
WELL..... fast forward to today. I receive an email from my Attorney that the Trustee is requesting the following info about my relatives:
"where born, birthdays, former addresses and states they lived in, names of all wives, names of all children, addresses of each, type of work they do/did, businesses they owned, types of cars they drove"
Some of this information I have, most of it I don't.
I mean these are my aunts and uncles who are 30-40 years older than I am. How am I supposed to know some of this info? Why have I been charged with the duty of being a PI for this trustee?
WTH? Seriously? This seems like overreach to me considering this is NOT their BK. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think contact info would be sufficient. I know it's not my job to THINK here, but this just doesn't seem right.
I've provided all contact info for these people. How is this not enough? Can't he just log into Ancestry.com for this. lol. Seriously though, this is just incredible.
Any thoughts?
