I has an appointment yesterday at the office of the attorney that did my BK. I gave him a stack of odds and end bills from the past 2 years from B of A and Green Tree. He only charged me $30 for the postage to send the cease and desist letters. He states after that, if they continue with the calls and bills that we can go after them. They would charge me a small retainer that would be included in the suit. Today I got a letter from the district court stating the property was changed from B of A to Green Tree. Now from what I received prior it had foreclosed from documents I got from the state. Now I am not sure what is actually going on. What really bites is this could be holding up the clock count down on ever owning another property.

Based on this summary of Maine bankruptcy procedures http://www.alllaw.com/articles/nolo/...-in-maine.html, it sounds like the notice you received was from the Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection. It was to advise you of your rights after the creditor informed the Bureau that they gave you notice of right to cure. It does not mean that the foreclosure sale actually took place. It is an early step in the foreclosure process.
