    Trustee Meeting

First, a big thanks to everyone on this board. Incredibly helpful. I felt a million times more comfortable going in for my Trustee Meeting after reading other people's experiences; so I thought to share my experiences as well.

I was the lucky 13th person called, so I listened in on other meetings.

    Of the 12 before me:

--Seven were super quick. Just the basic eight questions.

--One woman had to reschedule since she only had a copy of her SS card (not the original).

--One woman was questioned heavily by the trustee, since she listed her car value as $9K, while the trustee knew the Blue Book value was between $17-20K. The trustee asked for pictures of the car and the odometer, and rescheduled her as well.

--One woman's attorney didn't submit her 2012 tax return, so she was rescheduled. (The petitioner had it with her, but the trustee didn't accept it.)

--Two petitioners were converting from Ch 13 to Ch 7, and there were a couple of extra questions for them.

The trustee had two extra sets of questions for me, and I just answered honestly.

    1) I haven't worked since 2010, and had been using my credit until about six months ago; and she asked how did I expect to repay my debts since I wasn't working. I told her that the majority of the debt was incurred prior to 2010, between $30-35K of the $50K listed, and that I've been bouncing it around between different zero percent offers. And that I've been living primarily off my savings.

    2) Since I live mostly in Australia, she asked about this as well. I had six different address on my petition since, over the last three years, I've stayed with friends in various places. Not much was made of it.

    And that was that.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Sounds like you had 'smooth sailing' through your 341. Congratulations!
