Whether they actually will repossess is another question. I suspect they'd rather wait until after your discharge.
Did you say on your statement of intentions that you would reaffirm? Are you behind on payments?

If you can provide a few details, that will give us a better chance to help you with your questions.
It is interesting to note that those who post single sentences asking questions, seem to think that all the members of this Forum have passed 'Mind Reading School' with flying colors.
We understand that YOU know what you are talking about, but the rest of us have NO CLUE at all about what you are asking. If you want good answers, please ask good questions with some background.
Also, while we are at it, please observe common grammatical rules that you should have learned in grade school. That is, each new thought goes into a paragraph of its own, preferably with a space (white space) between the lines.
Please also use complete words and not 'contractions' like you are texting anywhere.
Thank you

Sorry. Initially I said I will reaffirm but I have change my mind. I have two other cars and I do not need all three.
The next payment is in ten days and I do not intend to make it.
The loan is with Wells Fargo Financial Services.

Hi grotto1. In no way have I intended my prior post to be targeting you. I was venting myself, and have asked the Admin to add the comments I posted, into the official Rules.
Thanks!

They are very unlikely to repossess your car while you are current on payments, even if you don't reaffirm. If your first missed payment is in 10 days, they are also unlikely to repossess before September 6. But, just to be safe, don't leave anything in your car and be prepared to find it gone at any time.
It hardly seems worth the trouble for a car you don't need, but if you want to buy some time, you could sign a reaffirmation agreement with the lender (assuming the lender will sign one) and have your attorney file it with the court with a statement that reaffirmation is a hardship. The judge will not likely approve the reaffirmation agreement. But, if he does, you can revoke it within 60 days of filing it. By following through with your stated intention, you get the benefit of the automatic stay until you are discharged or the creditor petitions for and receives relief from the stay.
