    Pacer Question

Hi guys! I finally registered with Pacer, how long does it take to get the user name by mail? I feel like I read something about how to avoid the .10 cent fees, but couldn't find the link, any info would be appreciated, thanks! I'm curious to see if the judge approved the buy back today, but I'm sure I will hear from the trustee long before I get the Pacer log-in info by snail mail lol! I should have looked into it awhile back, oh well.. hey thanks guys!

You can avoid being billed each quarter, by keeping your usage under 15.00 for the quarter. April, May, June, I ended up being billed 39.00 for first quarter. I got carried away researching,..

When I joined Pacer, I guess I did mine online and got my username right away. I usually check mine by logging in and doing a query on my case #. If the dates haven't changed, i don't look. Then there's no charges. But you have to rack up a lot of .10 fees to equal out to $15 unless you have a complicated case such as Floridagail.

In my opinion, there is no reason that an individual should ever have to pay for using PACER. If you're running up a bill, then you either have too much time on your hands or are worrying for no reason.

Chill, just keep an eye on your case, and you won't ever have a charge......

Or, you are Pro Se and trying to learn. I do, however, agree with Frogger. A Pro Se debtor who is "studying" cases, should probably to to the Law Library or the United States Courthouse to use PACER for free! (Only printing is costly at those locations.)
