Discharged, awaiting closing over 30 days, No- Asset

HI, i received my discharge on 12th of Feb, and the status still says "Awaiting Closing" even the No-asset report had been enter by the trustee a couple of days after the meeting. (Not an actual document, just a text entered by the trustee that I checked on Pacer, says stuff like the trustee didn't receive any properties nor monies, and request to be removed any duties from the case, stuff like that), just wondering if this is normal. should I give the court clerk a call of some. thanks.

many take up to 2 months! so not to fret, you most likely would have heard something by now if things didn't go well or if the us trustee thought you may have an asset case. most times you get some type of heads up on that type of situation. i would give your atty a call and ask if they have heard anything contrary. most likely it's just because they are back logged.

Some districts will automatically close a No Asset case the same time as they are discharged. Others don't. I would think that you will get a Close within the next few weeks, or as tobee43 says, two months. Ours took 15 months to close, but we were An Asset case.

I was just wondering if the trustee is waiting on my tax return, I have't file it yet, but ready to file anytime. Even he had already entered no-asset distribution report.

they usually let you know that right off the bat. as ms. cat has stated some districts do send them the same day, ours did, however, i have seen many on the forum where they were weeks and or months apart. i'm sure it will come soon!

Yes, if the trustee had been interested in the tax return, he/she would have said so at the 341.
