    Mortgage Servicer

Our bankruptcy was discharged last year through Chapter 7 which includes our mortgage. We are staying and paying, and we are current. Recently, our mortgage was sold to another mortgage servicer. This still remains a discharged debt, correct?

Yes. Nothing changes in that regard.

    11-18-09-DISCHARGED!!

Life is not what challenges you face, but how you face those challenges.

seems like this is becoming a "trend" for the banks that held the original mortgages. they are selling them to a "third" party to attempt to collect or handle the foreclosure. i have seen names like i think it's something like ocwens or close to that and a few more names here and there, i never took much notice until i realized i'm seeing the same story over and over. we went to bk and living in the house and it was turned over to someone else to service.

don't have a clue, it's really odd. unless the banks collected from the federal bailout and now selling the debt. nice!
