All creditors are notified, whether your current or not means nothing. Ford Credit as noted follows the ipso facto clause stated in your loan fine print and unless you reaffirm the debt, will come to repo after discharge.

I had a Fico of nearly 700 last year and currently it's 530, a lot can happen in a year, but I do not trust Credit Karma for much other than the account status which seems accurate. I checked my Fico on Credit Karma said 630, was off by 100 points. I too wish I filed sooner and also financed a car when my Fico was better.

Any word from Ford yet. Hubby 341 meeting is thursday, he will glad to get it over. We have not got any word yet from GMAC on our truck, so I guess they will let us ride thru the truck. Thanks goodness. Hubby got word today, His job is not looking good, like they may shutdown. We will see.

Thanks, The 341 is over, He is way over median income and it sounds like the trustee is trying figure out a way to force him into a 13. So we will see. I do not think it will work for him. He is close to retiring and now the job is probably going away by the end of the year.
He is going to a meeting today.

They will wait until discharge. The have to pay $150 to file for relief from stay and then pay an attorney to attend the hearing and it is doubtful that the hearing would grant them relief before discharge anyway with the time for response to motions and appeals. They can just wait until discharge and pay $0.

I think you will be fine until after the discharge.

Forgot to tell you, Capital One showed up for Best Buy at the 341 meeting, not for us, but for a couple others who were chptr 7. They wanted reaffirms for Laptops. The Lady claimed it ws stolen at garage sale. Funny I thought just give them the darn lap top.

Looked on Pacer, a few mins ago, It looks like the trustee closed out the case with no distributions and did not touch the timeshares.
Thank goodness. We are not keeping the timeshares however due to high maintance fees.

Good luck Gris , keep us posted after your 341.

The lady was smart. Laptops don't have a title, and cannot be tracked. If she says it's gone, Capital One can't prove otherwise, and will have to drop the matter. She could have just as easily said the laptop broke and she trashed it.

Apparently she had bought several Laptops on the best buy card in past also. So we left never heard the out come.

No, We found on Pacer, It appears it went thru chpr 7 and now the 60 days until discharge. We were feeling doomed after the meeting. So relieved. Hubby is twice the median in Florida , plus he had truck allowance. Attorney said the income is not important, the disposable income line is the important one. I am sure the trustee was double checking every line of our petition.

I'm glad your husband didn't have to go to a ch 13! I hope mine goes okay, I don't see why it wouldn't as I'm below median, but nothing would surprise me. I really hope creditors don't show up!

Had my 341, no issues, it was quick and easy. My lawyer said that if I was done using the car and ready to get rid of it, just to let ford know, give them an okay to contact him and he will arrange it. Ironically, the car broke down a few days ago and isn't running. If the husband can fix it for next to nothing, I'll wait a few weeks before calling Ford as we need the second car until we can buy something cheap.

Glad the 341 went well, I would try to drive it until the 60 days is up. We are not reaffirming our car and will keep it until last minute.
