Seeking a good BK7 lawyer in chicago that is a fair priced and a good person too?

Seeking a good no asset BK7 lawyer in chicago that is a fair priced and a good person too?

Ideal outcome is to find one that can rep me in last ditch settlement offer or if it fails BK 7.

What would you suggest NOLO referral? Consumer protection attorney?

Tips, experiences, links, and referrals most welcome, Thank you so much for your kind help. ; )

You need a freshstart my friend.
Just call a few attorneys in area of Bankrutpcy and go interview the ones that have free consult. Get on with your life, your credit is already trashed, the sooner you do it , the sooner you can rebuild. Believe me, I sat around unsure for 2 yrs waiting to decide to file, what a waste of time. I had this stupid idea that noone would sue me, ( I am judgementproof) oh yeah they did and then the court ordered me to provide all my 401 k and bank account info. I gave in and filed. Now I am 2 yrs behind my rebuilding, that I could of been. Forget the settling.

Thank you for you kind reply,
i appreciate you sharing your story of strength and hope.

Here are my 2 concerns about a no asset BK7

      1) what if you have a serious expensive medical crisis, you cant Bk. you already dropped your nuke. trapped. sick. scary.
      2) My parent are well but getting older, don't even know that there even is any inheritance,
but how do you legally protect it from the 180 days after you file? What would constitute good legal pre bk planning on this issue?

You will always find an excuse. It is something noone wants to do, but is best business decision to get on with your life.

        1. You will always run this risk, you could file chpt 13 to force payment arrgmts if this happen after you filed chpt 7.
        2. All the more reason to file while they are well. Ask your attorney about any preplanning.

I know all the excuses, back in 2000 I knew i was in trouble, so I stupidly went the debit management for 2 yrs, 60K debt, 880 amonth out of my paycheck, until I realized I was getting nowhere, one of the debit got bought out and did not agree to the plan. So now my credit is trashed and I start getting late notices again. Then I borrow my available 30K from 401k to pay off some. by 2003 I am tranferring between the cc to try to pay off. By 2006 I just stopped paying. I got sued Dec 2008 and filed. So basically my debt got paid
from 1991 to 2006 at 900 month and at the filing I still owed 69K.

You are OVER-THINKING this. Stop with the "what if" scenarios. You are only making yourself sick and us *crazy* trying to keep up with your wild imaginings.
