Confused about status of case

I filed chapter 7 and had my 341 meeting, did my final class and on 11/01 the trustee filed a no asset report. My status on PACER is now 'awaiting closing". When will my discharge be granted? I thought it had to be done before it could be closed, am I wrong? I tried getting a hold of my attny but he is in court all day. This is in Florida if it matters.

we did our 341 in the middle district of florida, on day 63 we rec'd two orders in the mail, one for the discharge and one for the close. you are in what we refer to on this forum as the "60 day club"....you need to wait 60 days after your 341 for any one to be able to respond or object and then you will be good to go.

you should be hearing something by mid dec., unless there is a problem, which there most likely there is none. your atty will advice you if they hear anything is not right on most occasions. but you should be good to go, it's just "time" now.

best of luck! once again depending on your district it should be approx. 63 days or so, but some take longer so don't get worried.

Hi kitykat, welcome to the forum.

Get out the paper that gave you the time and place of your 341. Down toward the bottom of the page there will be a date after which it will be too late for any of your creditors to file an objection to the discharge of their particular debt. If you had your 341 in the month of November, then your 60 day mark will be sometime after the first of January. You are correct; the discharge will come before the close which will be after that 60 day mark, and could happen on Day 61. It looks like your case is a very simple one, and your discharge AND close can come at the same time.

Ok on the pacer site it now says this
Case Closed***** 11/09/2012***** days 21 *Order Approving Account, Discharging Trustee, Canceling Bond, and Closing Estate (District Uniform)

Debtor discharged: **11/09/2012

Does this mean I am finally done ? Is my bankruptcy complete, I tried calling my attny again and he's in court...blah
Sorry if I sound dumb for asking these questions, I just want to make sure I'm not getting overly excited for nothing
