Don't worry, I can drink! I don't usually go for the sweet stuff. My margaritas are only straberrry when I have over ripe strawberries and they aren't as sweet as they look. My standard margaritas will make your lips pucker. Or I'll just pour a shot of Patron. But, sip it and savor it. If you are going to shoot it, it might as well be Cuervo Gold (bleck!).

And if we're drinking whisky, it's gotta be irish. I'm taking Jameson camping this weekend!

But, for celebrating, I think Keepsmiling has the best idea! I'll take a dark chocolate truffle with the Dom, please!

If it ain't from the hills of Tennessee my dear, it's not whiskey............

And, I've never seen any reason what-so-ever to ruin perfectly good whiskey with any kind of mixer.

i have to break tradition and go with you on the truffles and the dom. keep always has such good taste although i have never done a "mixed" drink....shots yes, but not even a margaritas, although the strawberry one sounds pretty yummy.

i just thought about my "old" college drinking days where my room mate was one serious drinking Irish lady, and i can still feel the likes of that Irish Whiskey fogging....... that "fogging" NOT "FROGGING" my brain. actually, she's the one that taught me about DJ too...nice roomy. i have had prouder days, LOL!!

frogger, just to mention when i was in tennessee and i went to go buy some JD in the county where the factory was and it was a DRY country!!! blew me away. so, i guess there is no drinking on the job

The Scotish and Irish were making Whiskey before there was a Tennessee. In fact, I've read that Whiskey comes from a Galic word meaning "water of life".

Now that is something we can agree on. I don't even want it dilluted with ice! I prefer to drink it straight from the bottle!

It is rather amazing that you can't have a drink in Lynchburg Tennessee at the Jack facility, however the will give you a glass of lemonade.

And last time I was there, I did speak with one of the tasters, and they actually spit the stuff out. Imagine that............

no i can't! i use to be a single barrel JD ONLY drinker, but now my tastes have changed i guess. put i couldn't afford it anymore! funny thing was after leaving TN i had to be in AK for about 3 months on business and, and i'm NOT kidding here, i had to 100 miles to get a bottle because all the surrounding counties were all dry! i guess when you are allowed to carry guns openly, they most likely don't like people drinking it up. i can see the point. i know i carried there and on two seperate occasions actually had to put my hand close to my gun! had i had a bit of JD in me, who knows what would have happened to that poor cow. (it was a long story ).
