As long as you have told your attorney the truth, then there will be no surprises to bite anyone on the donkey.

Regardless of whatever your financial situation may be, it can all be worked out as long as the truth is on the table.

    Good luck.

You can relax...seriously.. When I went to my hearing I had filed for 1.6 mill and had business several houses etc. I thought for sure they were going to bring a rope to hang me...crickets...No one showed up...So relax it won't be as bad as you think

Wow. Well im glad to hear you go thru it ok.

So im workin on my list of possessions and listin a value to everything. I own a large video game collection. Id say about 500 to 600 games.

Mostly for older consoles that are way out of date. Id estimate the entire collection could be sold for about 800 dollars. Maybe 900.

But alot of the titles are so old so many are literally worth 50 cents to a dollar a piece.

Should i list each title or just a lump sum and note next to it that many of the titles have little value?

              Well now, that depends.
It's only necessary to list it as a general category with a lump sum. It could even be under general household goods
              BUT...
If you need a project to take your mind off your worries and keep you busy, knock yourself out. You'll need a stack of paper.
Occasionally someone reports itemizing every single thing, but it's because it's just the way they are- not because it's required.

Would it make a difference to the truste? I honestly cant see it even being worth his time to take because of the absolutely monumental effort it would take to sell it all. Let alone find anyone who would even want to buy it. Plus one person isnt just gonna buy it all up.

But i wasnt sure if it was something i can just out into my exemptions. If im able to place it on my list of exemptions than it cant be touched anyways right?

I guess you have to make yourself meshuggah over something

We don't know enough about your exemption status to tell you anymore about your games. Maybe you can exempt them. How attached are you to them? Most likely the tt isn't going to want them... but he could be a little bit of a buster if you are over on your other "stuff" and conceivably could ask you to buy them back. Doubtful, but... Maybe he's a collector and sees something unique there. Probably not. More likely he/she is more interested in a vehicle, a gun, jewelry, antiques or some land. And he could get cranky that he had to wade thru all those pages--- or he could be impressed and hire you to do his paperwork . That sure is a slew of games tho. Do you have all the systems too?

Funny but my ds and his pals are more attached to their ancient N64 games than to anything more recent and more high tech. Have you checked values on ebay?

In Pennsylvania you are able to claim up to 11,000 in personal exemptions.

So if Im understanding it right....as long as my personal exemptions dont exceed a total of 11,000 im good.

If it makes you feel any better, I got a payday loan 3 weeks before I filed. It just happened that way. Desperation set in, I guess. Anyway, I had no trouble. As for listing everything, I didn't. No one came to claim any of my stuff. I didn't even know of the option. My attorney filled out everything on the forms. Of course, I read them over, but there was nothing alarming. Just make sure you're getting great advice from your attorney. Good luck.

Meshuggah, you say you already filed. Was your petition a skeletal petition?

You should ask your attorney how much detail he wants in you asset list. My assets were listed in groups: "Pots and pans, dishes, utensils and various kitchen items" "Miscellaneous household goods" "Gardening tools" "clothing and personal items". Large appliances, large furniture items, computers and the TV were itemized.
