    Tax refund time...

my Ch7 was discharged in June (not yet closed though). Filed extensions for 2011 taxes, but just found out I'm getting a return of about 7K... Guess I can kiss that baby goodbye

I'm actually pretty resigned to that fact, but the sucky part is that I still owe the accountant about $450 for all the services of preparing the darn taxes in the first place!

Can't win 'em all I guess... I still can't get a hold of my trustee's assistant to figure out how they want to take my refund. You would think they'd call me back pretty quick for 7K.. hahahaha
    10/27/11 - Filed Ch13 ------ 2/27/12 - Conversion to Non-Consumer Ch7 ----6/11/12 - Discharged!

Were you able to exempt any of the refund?
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

I can't imagine I would have been able to do that... Under what circumstances is a person able to exempt a refund?

You can exempt it if your State has allowances for cash exemptions. If I remember correctly, Arizona does not have much available for exemption of cash. I should have looked at your State first!
