Wife and I both own home. Only I am filing. There would not be any entireties situation in this scenerio.

divide by 2...31,000 for me, 31,000 for my wife. is this correct? my wife would be entitled to half since she is not filing?

That would be my understanding. 1/2 the equity is yours, 1/2 is the co-owners.
