What is “Income� other than from employment or operation of business?

Would income on the SOFA (Question #2), included the monies spent on a monthly utility bill payed by a live-in relative? or is this only referencing cash/monetary exchanges. i.e. someone gave me cash, check, etc?

If you have a live-in relative who is paying a utility bill for you, you could argue the point about it being "income", but why bother? It probably isn't an amount significantly large enough to change anything.
