    Job offer maybe today. HELP

    Hi,

My manager approached me today about a weekend job where I would work nights 24 hrs and get paid 36 hours with benefits. That would help so much during his last year of school.

Our 341 is 8/14 our attorney does not want me to work extra b4 then. I have emailed her about job offer but wanted input here. I had asked about this in past before we filed. We were slightly above means test when we filed due to DH school stipend. He signed affadavit that he no longer receives it so income was not true. I probably wouldn't start this until weekend after 341.

We sure can use the money, but am worried it would turn into 13 as my income would almost double. But my understanding is everything is according to te date of filing, it want to make sure.

    Thanks!

Not quite. At the 341 the Trustee will ask you "has anything changed since you filed?" You must be truthful. Also working extra and around the clock, it will take no time that you will be dragging tired. Your regular M-F days will suffer, and you will not be up to par all week. Once a month at those hours would be healthy but working that much after your regular hours will show up in your normal performance. Watch your health. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Ty. I would be going to school during week and only working on weekends. I would tell TT at 341 about new job if I take it.

      Ty!

BB this is a problem as you will be under oath, and not to answer a direct question (and a stock question) you will be guilty of perjury. This COULD be used to dismiss your case or even give you a felony. Wait till after your 341, however, this presents another problem with the question. That is, you were offered an opportunity of a job and stalled it off.

Didn't you say this would nearly double your income? You are a student. How is that? 'Hub

I'm a RN. I wouldn't start until after 341 cuz that is when our new schedule starts. I said I WOULD tell trustee about new job. I am in grad school will finish that 5/2013. My net income per pay would go from $1100 to $1900-2000 pay.

My question is would his throw us into ch 13?

This is a Possibility of an extended job you already have? If so, nothing has changed in your paperwork and I believe I am right to say that you would not need to say anything, as to that date, nothing would have changed at all. If after the 341, you get a raise or more hours, which basically you are doing, on the day of 341 nothing will have changed.

RN is a great job for the future, but my daughter is an RN and it is a rough job as well. She tried the overtime thing but quickly burned out. In your job, you have to be sharp and accurate. The hours you intend to work, I fear, will wear you out. Watch that YOUR health does not suffer. You know of course that with what flies around a hospital and you get run down, could open sickness to you also. It is your business and decision to make. With further info, I rescind my advice above, as I don't think you would have done anything wrong. 'Hub

EDIT: PS I don't think it will throw you into a C13. As you said, they look back six months.

Attorney feels it would put us in a 13 cuz of look forward. She would amend it to our new income.

              Don't know what to do

Well I am not going to take it. I asked attorney what a ch 13 payment would be and she said it would be the raise I would be getting. So I cannot be going to school working and turning over every extra dollar I make.

Thanks Hub for all your help this morning!

Well, I feel a bit bad over this. Petition your lawyer to take the chance on 7. You can always do a 13 if the 7 does not fly. 'Hub

She was pretty adamant that if my income increases, we are borderline now, that the "raise" I would be getting would be my DMI and that would be our payment. That would be about $2000 month, so in effect I wouldn't gain a thing by doing it.

I told my supervisor that I couldn't take it, so too late now.

                    Thanks for all your support.
