Officially Converted

Wife and I filed CH13 a couple of years ago mainly to strip our 2nd mortgage. Plans and circumstances have changed, my wife quit her job to be a homemaker and raise our children. Just received notice that our case is now officially converted to a CH7, new 341 date set, pre-discharge class has been taken and certificates received.... lets do this!

The only regrets I have is that I didn't listen when my attorney told us that we should have gone with a 7 from the get go. Oh well, another BK life lesson.

I understand your indecision. We were trying for a Ch13 ourselves when we started considering filing BK. Our pre-filing counselor, which was handled in a person to person one hour interview, told us that with our income and outgo levels, we were better suited for a Ch7, rather than the Ch13. It took the loss of my FT job to make us file the Ch7.
