Update and thank you to the forum members!!

I first posted in the forums back in August of 2009. I filed Chapter 7 in December and was Discharged in February of 2010. I just wanted to say that the help I received from the forum was very helpful in calming my nerves all the way through the process. I am very appreciative of the help and insight this forum has provided to me. Since my discharge I am still debt free and pay with cash for everything. I did obtain a secured loan from a credit union to help rebuild my credit. My credit score is heading up in the right direction and soon I will be able to obtain a loan for a used, reliable vehicle for my long commute to work each day.

So my point here is to thank everyone for their help and let people know that while it is sometimes a hard choice to file BK, there is life after BK and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It takes time to recover but I am now living the way that I should have prior to BK and have learned a good life lesson in the process. Hope everyone has a smooth transition like myself and best of luck to all.

Well thank you too!!! This is my second post and I am currently waiting for my attorney to file. I too, like many others went back and forth and spent many sleepness nights debating about it before deciding to file. Your post is very encouraging for someone starting the process like me. I believe that this forum is a God send. I look forward to posting about my success in a few months when it's all over.
