question regarding discharged chapter 7 & homebuyer credit

hello all! need some help for a friend. she filed a chapter 7 bk that has been discharged as of jan 2012. she had a foreclosure that she also included in her bk. i helped this person file her taxes last year when she still had possession of her property. she took the 8000.00 homebuyer credit in 2007. she started paying it back last year 500/yr. i don't believe the 7500.00 balance was included in her bk. her lawyer is out of town and unavailable. is she still responsible for the balance? do i have her call the irs and see if they mailed her a statement?(she says she hasn't received one) but her mail was still going to old property mailbox which was knocked down by new owner while they renovate property. thanks in advance for all your help
