If my opinion adds to the message of good fortune to our OP, how I do this is my opinion only. No candidates where mentioned in my post. I was talking about the past and World conditions as it relates to the OP's success. I have the freedom to voice my opinion here as you do. You have the freedom to pass by if you so choose. Your first post and you are an expert? Best review the rules. None were broken.

I love your opinion, Hub, as I always have on your many supportive posts along with great and knowledgeable advice that I've listened to for over 2 years. And who was there when this site went down for many days with no explanation. You were. It's always interesting when someone's first post is a criticism of another member. Uh well, you and the Mrs are great. Keep it up. Along with Tobee, you're my BK heroes.

I don't think I posted it, but we had our asset Chptr 7 closed Dec 28, 8 days short of 1 year after discharge. And life is great, again.

Clearly - that is why I asked. I did not tell you not to do anything, I simply asked whether or not political opinions should be expressed elsewhere. I did not know; now I do. I will take your word for it that you managed to skirt any forum rules by not mentioning any “candidate”.

I will argue that I was entirely too far into reading the message before I was so rudely subjected to your opinion; while I do have the “freedom to pass by if” I “so choose” from here on out, I did not at that time – too late.

Glad to hear there is life after BK, LOL. Yep, we have went from a mcmansion to renting a modest home, getting ready to pay cash for a used mobile home to put on 5 acres in the sticks, then eventually build a home on the site. ! Planning on having a mini farm also. Having grew up on a small farm with a stepfather who was obsessvie about gardening, I always swore if I ever made it to the city, I would never step foot in the country or a garden again, lol! Now I would like nothing better than live in the woods in a modest home. Pretty funny, my parents will never let me live this down! I will not say that BK was the best thing that ever happened to me, but it for sure changed me for the better.

Wow, me thinks sixhose must be in a pretty bad place right now to go off on 'Hub like that. I personally am on the other side of the political fence from 'Hub, but I don't let that interfere with my profound appreciation of his advice, wisdom, and kindness to all here. I hope sixhose can cool off, and come back with a civil attitude, because it seems clear that he/she needs a help.

tradinglife, I also swore I never wanted to be in the country again, my whole childhood. I couldn't wait to get out and see the world! Now that I am older, I am just trying to get back to the farm, lol. I always said if I ever won the lottery, I would buy my grandpa's farm back.

I never made it out of the US, but the military provided us with some great duty stations - Hawaii, San Diego, S. Carolina, Virginia, Illinois and Maine. Plus all the places we visited on the way back to Ohio every year. My grandparents are all from Kentucky, and I used to go with them on "Decoration (Memorial) Day" back to Salt Lick and Morehead. Once even went up Tater Nob, and visited an old granny deep in the hollar, lol.

With apologies to SS, but my main wish is to stress the fact of how many people are truly recognizing the errors of the past in their own lives. I certainly have, and when we had plenty of money and acres of land (now a park) we had no idea how much fun being poor is. I shame not at all telling people I have bked 7. We learned and are so much better off than we were when things were easy to get and values were little.

I did not mean to derail the thread into some incident. Seeing that the tone of the first post was not for the OP's behalf, or the enhancement of the value of the thread to me was not appropriate. Dissecting my response was inflammatory.

If in fact this new poster is legit, I offer my personal apology for misunderstanding his intent. I also personally invite him to return and all will be forgotten. The real value of this thread was to learn that so many people, politics aside, see that preparation for ANY kind of emergency, Naturally caused or man made. Even a job loss is a personal emergency.
