Best place to check credit report/score?

Is free credit report dot com a good site? Any other suggestions on where to check FICO scores and get the most updated credit report? Thanks

If you do a search here there are many threads dedicated to this topic.

Messy topic... You can get your credit reports for free from annualcreditreport dot com, or from each bureau directly in the event you're denied credit, insurance, etc. There is nothing to say you're entitled to a free score. One thing to be careful of: many sites offer a score, but if you don't see the FICO logo - its not a FICO score.

The only sure way to get FICO scores is thru MyFico, or to apply for a mortgage/car loan and the person you're working with give you your scores. (Note: if you apply for something and you're denied due to your score, the creditor has to give you that score. But there is no guarantee they use FICO, or that your denial is score based.) And at MyFico, you can only get your EQ and TU FICO scores. And the TU is an outdated model, not necessarily the one used by lenders now.

There may be some other ways to get FICO, but again, if a site says something about a score (Free or Paid) then look for the FICO logo. WIthout it, its just some other internal score model.
