    A Chapter 13 isn't as bad as you seem to think. The trustee does not look over your shoulders. The only financial decisions you need to consult the trustee about is incurring debt and, in some cases, selling assets. After over 2 years in a 13, my only communication with the trustee is sending a monthly check and receiving an annual statement. You may also have to send copies of your tax returns each year.

    But, don't give up hope on the 7. It sounds like you have an attorney willing to do what it takes to get you into a 7 if possible. Trust him to do his job unless he gives you reason not to.
