I ended up getting mail for 10 different cards throughout my BK, and still do. Don't plan on doing that for awhile. It is funny, getting better offers for interest rates too.

I just got an offer from one of the creditors who I filed bk on to put all my balances into one low 4.9% credit card for life. Unreal.

I can top all of that... I called one of my creditors to explain why I couldn't continue paying my payments.... and when I was finished with all that they asked me if I wanted to take advantage of a pre-approved platinum mastercard offer.

Yes, I called to explain that I couldn't pay my existing card.... and was offered a new card in return.

Chase charged off about 2.3 billion (yes with a "B") in credit card debt in the fourth quarter last year....YIKES!!! Makes me want to

whatever you do, do not accept that offer!! some cc issuers have been known to put some god awful wording into their agreements that allows them to put the money you owed them onto the new card. not sure if they can do that with a discharged amount, but I would not put it past them to try and do it.

Honestly, I've heard it, if you choose to get credit cards again , I personally will not go with a company I filed on, there are many to choose from , why takea chance?

I have no intention of taking on new credit or balance transfers or anything at this point. I assume the cc companies left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing anyways. I got checks from Discover card today...to use as I like....deposit in bank...pay bills........yes today. Good 19.9% interest rate too... :-(

If I knew it wouldn't screw up my bk, I would use one of them checks....

341 meeting next Thursday, God, I hope it goes as good as other posters on this board.

Thats awesome, lol. Kind of like a really bad date, where your date is real weird and just latches on to you, so you have to start making up stuff to try and repel them. For Ex., 'I am schizophrenic, I have herpes, I drink constantly, smoke crack, and I spent 3 years in jail for masturbating in public' and then every word you say your date is even more into you.

When you encounter situations like these, only one thing to do: RUN, preferably very fast.
