    Help! Income question

Hi. My husband and I plan to file as soon as all paperwork is in order. I have a few questions that I haven't been able to find:
1). We unfortunately had to move in to in laws home. We pay small amount of rent, but pay all the groceries and household items for the home. Is our household size still considered 2 people? And do I need to add what they pay towards utilities as income, even though what we pay for food, etc makes up for our share of total bills?

    2) if a family members gifts is the bankruptcy filing fee, must that be counted as income?

    Thanks

you're atty should be able to answer those questions.

your rent is your rent and should count as that, you're parents are renting you a room is the way i would see it. (but i still would check with your atty).

why mention where you are getting your filing fees, which could be a birthday present and your parents can just write the check directly to the atty, that way no money passes through you hands. from theirs to the law firm. simple, quick and done.

    best of luck!

Could be it's better to just contribute what you pay for groceries for the family's share directly to the rent. Might look better on paper that way.
