Still don't know how to feel...even though I can say I am somewhat relieved :-)

Today I had my 341 meeting @ 9am..... because of the rainy weather here in Northern VA, I guess alot of people were stuck in traffic. I was the 3rd person to be called (the 2nd person called was not there)... must have lasted no more than 5 minutes....usual questions were asked (I'd say about 10)...and finally the trustee said at the end:

"I am abandoning your house, car, etc"...to which I asked "what does that mean?" He said "It means I am not taking anything from you...you are free to leave, and good luck with your fresh start"

I remember having butterflies in my stomach up until I walked out. Whew!!!! I still feel kind of like I'm in a daze. So I guess now the wait begins????

Sounds like the 341 went very well for you! I second the trustee's remarks. Good luck on your fresh start. I would just try to put it out of your mind until it is officially discharged.

You could not ask for a better reward. Now, start your new start right now. 60 days and you will be free officially. Today you are now free. 'Hub

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! This is one of the best 341 stories I have read!
"To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

"Worry is the darkroom where negatives are formed."

Thank you all so very much!!!! I have read so much stuff on this board and the wealth of information is priceless! I hope I am able to offer assistance (viable that it is) to someone who may be starting on this journey! Sorry but I still feel like I am dreaming....I guess I will feel better....once I see DISCHARGED!

ETA: AngelinaCat & AngelinaCatHub...are you husband and wife? Sorry if that is a personal question, but I couldn't help but ask....did I miss something in all my reading????

LOL! Yes, we are married. I joined the Forum first, and when I told my husband about it, he got excited and wanted to post using my account. I said that no, sharing accounts is frowned upon, and besides we have such a different posting style, and even memories of how some things happened, that it would be too confusing to everyone. So he joined up with 'AngelinaCatHub' as his moniker.

At first I was annoyed that he didn't think up something more original, but as time went by we began to see that posters and readers were seeing that a married couple COULD make their way through bankruptcy w/o a divorce or worse.

            Thank you for asking!

Wow, congratulations!! Hope mine goes half that well! We filed on 11/1 and our 341 is tomorrow morning (11hrs 16 mins from right now). I've been doing pretty good pretending it didn't even exist until now but the nerves started kicking in today so I probably won't be sleeping much tonight...

No such luck for me .

Our lawyer said the assigned trustee was really nice but the toughest one they had and the last one he would have picked. We were third and he had some pretty detailed questions for everyone so we have a couple amendments and he questioned an expense so our lawyer will submit the changes tomorrow and it's getting reviewed again on 12/19 but hopefully we won't have to go.

Hopefully I'll be able to join you in a couple weeks
