So once the case is closed... how long before the information is purged from Pacer; if ever?

As far as I know it stays on Pacer. I looked up one person's bankruptcy that was filed 9 years ago and view the whole chapter 7.

It is never purged from PACER. Most Districts, however, will purge "CLAIM" information from cases. I think they do this because of the type of information in the Claims section of PACER (account details and the like).
