It sounds like your options are - pay nothing and have the trailer seller/creditor take back the trailer - or pay $1200 and keep the trailer. Any contractual obligation to pay, and any for the lease-purchase seller/creditor to transfer an item to you after a payment plan, that was in effect prior to the BK was voided then. You kept paying on the trailer and the trailer seller/creditor let you continue to use it in a "handshake" agreement. Now the seller/creditor is demanding $1200 for you to buy the trailer. You can say yes or no

      thanx to all of you
I was yesterday at bank and they told me they practically purchased the loan from the original company that provided me with lease to buy.
That means I am obligated to follow the new bank rules(that should be forbidden, actually)
I told to her that is a shame for a bank to wait 18 months and then when I paid off the loan, then to scare me with their attorney fee
After 20 min of talking(mostly me, she was only going like ahaa, yes)
I offered to her half the money and she said that would be OK
So they are happy, I am half happy, but it is still cheaper then to go to court and loose 1 day(I am self employed)
      End of story

You did well. Sometimes it is better to work with adversity than principle. Depends on the principle. Your relief was worth the cost. 'Hub
