First notice from the court after 341 meeting...

I recieved a letter from the BK court today. It looks to be a letter regarding the lawsuit that was filed against us by our old credit union. It states that their case will be put on the inactive calendar until 2/28/2012. So, my interpretation is that the CU is being notified that unless our BK gets dismissed before the above date, they should just expect to not have any action taken against us. I am not good at reading these documents. Nothing was checked like it seems to me it should have been, however, there were several scenarios to choose from, but only one had a date in it. Thoughts? Comments?

You have NO problem. All Court (Civil) are tolled (held in place) both if you were the Defendant or a Plaintiff. Your case will be dismissed (Court Case) when you are discharged. If you get dismissed due to some sort of problem you caused, the Civil Case can pick up right where it left off. This is what the "automatic stay" is about. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Ah yes I agree. A 'girl' is what I 'chased' when in my teens, a "Lady" is who stays with me even when I'm wrong (rarely I must say). LOL. 'Hub

Sassie, I received such a later as well during my 60 day wait. As a courtesy for the court (and to allow them to clear this from their calendar) I contacted them directly and gave them my BK filing case number. They were appreciative.
