About a month ago I received a bill for $650 for textbooks for my high school age kid. We filed 8/9/10, 341 was 9/28/10; closed/discharged no-asset 12/3/10. This bill was included on our list of creditors, we owed for 2009 & 2010 textbooks (approximately $300 each year). We had received bills for the 2009 textbooks, but not yet received the 2010 bill when we filed, (but school had started-just hadn't gotten the bill yet). I wrote on the bill this debt was discharged in chapter 7 Bk, and returned it to the OC; the bills are being sent by a collection agency. Then the bc called/left voice message on home phone; I called back and left message that this bill was discharged, etc. He called/left vm last friday, and he followed up with a letter on Saturday. The vm said he had investigated, and to please contact him. The letter/bill that came on Saturday now indicates that we owe $381 instead of the $650 that the previous bill listed. I'm guessing that I'm now being billed for only the 2010 textbook fees. What should I do now? Do I owe for 2010 testbook fees, or were they discharged in our ch. 7? I could contact our attorney, but honestly, it's extremely difficult to get answers to emails/phone calls, etc as it takes forever. Suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated.
