    Creditor calling after filing

We filed Chapter 7 two weeks ago. Is this enough time for all creditors to be notified? I am still receiving a call from an 866 # on my cell (which I do not answer) but when I looked up the number online, it looks as if it is debt collection agency. I did call once to see who answered, and it just says to wait for the next available operator. No company name, nothing. My question is, do I answer the call next time? Call them back with Bk information (not sure which debt it may be)? Or inform my attorney? This seems to be the only call still coming through. All others have stopped. How nice the silence is now!! Thanks all!!

It may be a collection agency that was not notified yet or have not read there mail. I would answer or call them back. Tell them you have filed CH 7 and the case number or your attorney name and number and not to call you again. 99% of the time that works.

Answer the phone and give them your case number. By doing this, they have been notified. Continued calls after this notification are willful violations.

It is possible that your bk case has not been entered into their system yet.
