If you have the slightest doubt about your physical condition, always go for the ride in the ambulance. That's worth a good 25K more in the lawsuit.
What is a life flight ride worth? ;-)
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

I dont know if you have filed your Chapter 7 or not. If you have then the car accident case is not an assett of your BK estate. If you have not yet filed, then it is. That means your trustee will have an interest in your case and whatever money you get from the case would be subject to is/her administration. I dont know what the Ohio exemptions are for personal injury cases. You would need to find that out, but in any event, it is likely that a portion of any $ you get from the case will be going to your creditors.

The accident occurred after filing, so the PI claim is not an asset of the BK estate.
        LadyInTheRed is in the black!
Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
