I dont know if you have filed your Chapter 7 or not. If you have then the car accident case is not an assett of your BK estate. If you have not yet filed, then it is. That means your trustee will have an interest in your case and whatever money you get from the case would be subject to is/her administration. I dont know what the Ohio exemptions are for personal injury cases. You would need to find that out, but in any event, it is likely that a portion of any $ you get from the case will be going to your creditors.

$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
