we filed in 4-11, bk 7, the discharge was in 8-11, it is listed on pacer as a no asset case, but we do have afew parcels of vacant land, that may or may not be of value to the trustee. my quetsion is, how long does the trustee have to either determine that the assets(land) are of value to the estate and schedule a auction, or has the time past for the trustee to do anything and how long until they either close the case or adandon the assets??? I would like to not have to think of all of this & move on in life, but the unknown is still in my mind. don't tell me to ask my bk attorney, I have learned more on this site than they know in the supposed 30 yrs. experience as a bk attorney & $4,000 later.

We were an Asset case, and so are you apparently if the trustee is still trying to figure out what to do with the land. The time to Close can vary depending on the situation, and I think that is what is holding yours up. You might ask your attorney to file a motion to compel the trustee to abandon the property, and see how that goes.
