I had one of those kind of trustee, she started her sessions with "I will be taking your tax refunds" and went on a rant about the ex-mayor of Detroit being in jail for lying under oath to a filer who did not file their taxes till three days before their 341 meeting. You pray you don't get "that" trustee but on the other hand you pray a dishonest filer does.

It sounds like you're good, you have your documentation and now that you had a chance to breath just think about it this way... she could have just sprung this on you at the 341 meeting leaving you with a "um, um, um" kind of answer catching you completely off guard and this little thing could have easily turned into a continuation of the 341; if she wanted. I would be more worried about why your lawyer didn't call back vs. why the trustee called.

Sounds like you got everything under control and good luck with everything.

Yeah...I am wondering if she did in fact try to call him. However, she phoned me first thing Monday morning. If I don't hear from my attorney by end of business tomorrow, I will be concerned. It also sounds to me like she was getting information from an "assistant" or something. She stated to me a "$1860.00 withdrawl" when in fact it was two separate transactions 7 days apart. So, who knows what is going on. I just know I have my hearing this thursday and I do feel prepared. I sent in everything she asked for. The only other thing I am a little concerned about is that my hubby is now making great money. Straight commission though. He didn't start this job until end of June and was laid-off since March. Attorney says they cannot predict income so it is only based on the 6 months prior...but still, the pay stubs she has shows a significant income increase....we'll see!
