Checked Pacer this am, and as of this morning we've been discharged, and "awaiting closing".
It was a long, tedious, stressful, expensive process ($2200 attorney fees, that was tough, but not as tough as paying off $50k in CC debt), but it was so worth it.
It took us from considering it last year at this time, to talking to an attorney in December, to filing in April, to now.... but, it's done.
Time for a new lease on life, and a new way of living. We've learned a lot through this process, and will NEVER be in this position again!!!
On a side note, we never reaffirmed our mortgage. Bank still hasn't noticed or requested it, so for now, we just just pay and stay, but it's a relief knowing that if we ever "had" to walk away from it, we could.
Thanks for all the help and great advise from everyone here.
